Let me guess — you're looking for someone who's smart and fun, tidy and creative, someone who can build a blanket fort while making sure no one eats crayons for lunch? Well, I just might be your person.
My name is Maria, I’m from Bulgaria, and I come with a big heart, a loud laugh, and a genuine passion for working with children. I believe being an Au Pair is not just a job — it’s a chance to be part of a new culture, grow alongside a family, and maybe even learn how to cook your favorite dish.
Children have always found a certain comfort around me. I don't know what it is exactly. My nephew, who's almost three, is the perfect example. Every time I hug him, he falls asleep like I’ve hit a magical off-switch. The rest of the time, he sticks to me like Velcro, and we end up laughing, playing, and exhausting each other with joy. And it’s not just him — wherever I go, if there are small kids around, they somehow find their way to me. I think they just feel safe, seen, and understood.
Funny enough, before my nephew came along, I wasn’t sure if I wanted children of my own. But after spending so much time with him — and loving him deeper than I knew was possible — I now find myself dreaming of the day I’ll have a family of my own. Turns out, I love kids more than I thought. And, it seems, it goes both ways.
Also, growing up as the oldest of five siblings, I’ve been “big sistering” since before I even knew it was a thing. From diapers to homework to teenage drama — I’ve seen it all, and I’m still smiling.
Why should you host me? Because I will bring warmth, reliability, and a deep respect for your family’s routines and values. I’ll treat your children not just as little humans to look after, but as whole people — curious, funny, sometimes messy, and completely lovable. I don’t see this as babysitting. I see it as joining a team — your team — and doing my best to make everyone’s days brighter and easier.
If you’re looking for someone who will care deeply, laugh loudly, and always have a plan B for rainy-day energy bursts… I’m ready when you are.
Warm wishes from Bulgaria
Maria
