Hi!

My name is Shaunna I'm 29 years old and originally from Auckland, New Zealand. I'm currently looking for Au Pair/Nanny positions in London or the UK for the end of 2023 to beginning of 2024.

About me:
I've pretty much lived in New Zealand my entire life, though do love to travel. So as of March 2nd 2023 I packed my bags and headed overseas.

I'm from a family of four and grew up with a younger sister, my mum, Dad and numerous pets. I've always been creative, having participated in hobbies such as school wearable arts, photography, painting and sculpture. I get along extremely well with my younger sibling probably thanks to our shared love of art. I frequently videocall my family to keep them up to date on my whereabouts

I'm someone who is genuine, polite, enthusiastic and not afraid to be a little bit silly. I'd say my life's goal is to have as many spontaneous, joy filled experiences as possible! I love the idea of meeting people from all sorts of cultures and life styles.

I graduated from the University of Auckland, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2016. I am a very creative person and enjoy DIY projects, drawing, sculpting, painting and reading in my spare time. I am currently working on a series of postcards. I also love food, both cooking and eating. My expertise lies in Asian fusion though I do like to explore other cuisines as well. I am artistic and dependable but also aim to bring a cheerful and enthusiastic attitude to every project. Bringing strengths in communication, time-management and observation, I know that my creative abilities will serve to bring a valuable addition to the Au Pair/Nanny position.

Inspired by innovation, I thrive on experimenting with different concepts and have been commended for inspiring and developing unique and thought-provoking ideas. I have cultivated providing homework support, transporting children safely and managing schedules skills through a range of practical experience. These strengths, combined with my passion for the industry have created a strong foundation to meet the needs of the Au Pair/Nanny opportunity.

Experience:
It has been a while since I actively babysat but in the past four months I have helped look after multiple younger cousins ranging 18 months to 12 years old. When I was actively babysitting I was in charge of picking the children up from school and walking them home, meal preparation, afterschool activities, daily homework allocation, outings, and nap/sleep times. During my time as a babysitter, I provided care for children ranging from the ages of 5 to 12 years old, ensuring their safety and well-being while engaging them in educational and recreational activities. My strong communication skills, patience, and attention to detail make me an ideal candidate for this position, as I can effortlessly connect with both children and parents to provide the best care possible. Additionally, my adaptability ensures that I can quickly adjust to different childcare situations, including adapting to individual family routines and preferences. I'm more than happy to provide a positive written reference from families I babysat for.
