My Experience as an Au Pair & Nanny
Over the past two summers, I’ve worked as a nanny, caring for children of various ages. My responsibilities included planning daily activities, preparing meals, organizing playdates, helping with homework, and ensuring the children felt safe, happy, and supported. I also had the opportunity to travel with the family during their vacations, which taught me how to be flexible, organized, and present even outside of a regular routine.
In addition to my nanny experience, I teach English daily, so I’m very comfortable helping children with language learning in fun and natural ways—through games, songs, and everyday conversation. I’ve built strong relationships with the children I’ve cared for, and it’s always rewarding to see them grow more confident, independent, and joyful.
Why I Want to Be an Au Pair & Nanny Abroad
I want to become an Au Pair abroad because I’m looking for a new life experience—one that allows me to grow personally, improve my Italian, and connect deeply with another culture. I love being around children, and becoming an Au Pair is a beautiful way to combine my passion for childcare with my love for learning languages and meeting new people.
Living with a host family would allow me to experience the culture from the inside, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to the family’s daily life in a positive and supportive way. I believe it’s an experience that will stay with me for life, both professionally and personally.
