Dear hostfamily,

My name is Lisa, I am 21 years old and I live in Germany. I grew up in a small town in Rhineland- Palatinate with my parents Gabi and Christian and my little sister Marie, who is four years younger than me. After my high school diploma I moved to Mainz, which is the capital of Rhineland-Platinate. There I live in a shared Apartment with two girls in my age. I study social pedagogy at the Johannes Gutenberg- University in Mainz. In Summer 2024 I am going to end my three year academic studies with a Bachelor of Arts, which I want to complete with a Masterdegree after my time with your Family. I really enjoy the work with children, because of the content and internships while my studie I have achieved a lot of knowlege and experience in that area. I can also imagine to have a function in this workfield after finishing university. I am looking foword to meet you and would love to be a part of your Family.

Experiencia con niños

Since I am a Teenager I think about being an Aupair for some time. I enjoy the work with Children and I think it is very enriching to spend time with an other family to see there traditions and way of living. I also think a stay abroad is going to be a big step in my personal development, and I am very interested to get to know an other culture .

I my school internship I worked in a kindergarten and also in a speech therapy (logopedics) for a few weeks, which was a lot of fun. Furthermore I babysit two twin girls between the ages of two to five.
I was also able to gain experience in the area of child care through my internships during my studies by attending a school-social worker in primary school and assisted people who were working with intellectual, physical and mental disabilitys. I also learned to be a good role model because of my sister which I had to take care of, especially when we both were younger.
