Carta a la familia

Dear Host Family, my name is Larissa, I'm 25 years old and I live in São Paulo Brazil, with my boyfriend and our two cats, Ranga and Luffy. I have a degree in Information Technology, but currently, I work in the Marketing field as a freelancer for social media projects.

I want to become an Au Pair because I truly love spending time with children and believe this will be a beautiful opportunity to live in another country, experience a new culture, meet new people, and grow both personally and professionally. Although I’ve never been an Au Pair before, I’ve done a lot of research, watched videos, and read many experiences I'm really excited for my first opportunity!

I have a 5 years old sister and I’ve been very present in her life since she was a baby. I’ve also helped care for my younger cousins from my stepmother's side and, since 2015, I've supported my mother who is a person with disabilities. These experiences have taught me responsibility, patience, empathy, and how to genuinely care for others.

Even though I live two hours away from my family, we are very close and see each other often. I'm a calm, creative, and loving person, and I’m looking forward to connecting with a kind and welcoming family. I believe I can offer a warm, safe, and playful environment for your children, and in return, I would be so grateful to share and learn from your culture.

Experiencia con niños

Although I haven't officially worked as an Au Pair yet, I have meaningful experience caring for children and family members. One of the most important moments in my life happened in 2015, when my grandmother who raised me like a mother was diagnosed with a tumor that affected a facial nerve. During surgery to remove the tumor, she suffered a stroke that left her paralyzed and unable to eat on her own for almost a year.

At that time, I helped my family take care of her with physical therapy, medication, and feeding her through a tube. It was a very challenging moment, but it helped me grow and mature. I learned how to be responsible, patient, and compassionate to take care of the person who once took care of me.

In addition to this, I’ve helped care for my younger sister since she was a baby and have often looked after my younger cousins. These personal experiences taught me how to create a calm, safe, and loving environment something I’m excited to offer as an Au Pair.

I want to become an Au Pair abroad because I truly love children and want to experience life in another culture. I believe this program will allow me to grow, build meaningful connections, and contribute to a host family’s life while learning and sharing.
