Dear future host family!
Hi! I'm Natalia but you can call me Nati. I'm 23 years old. I am from the south part of Mendoza, Argentina. It is a beautiful tourist area. I love living here because there're many things to do in nature.
I have three brothers, their names are Walter, Damian and Matias. I only live with my youngest brother Matias who is 20 years old. My middle brother lives in a city 600km away. He has 2 sons and a daughter, my nephews. We have 2 small dogs, their names are Lola and Chizo.
I'm friendly, affectionate, sociable and respectful. I consider myself a very happy and fun person and I like to show it to children. I'm very responsible and organized with my tasks. I'm a family girl, I like to spend time with my parents, my brothers and nephews.
I love being in nature, going to the park, the mountains and hiking. On the weekend I usually go with my friends to the movies, to the river, to dinner or to the park. During the week after work I like to read, watch movies and listen to music.
I am currently working as a control operator in a factory and I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I like my job, I have good colleagues and a great boss.
A great aspect about me is that I am a great driver. I have been driving since I was 18 and I got my driver's license when I was 20. I have my own car at home, I drive every day, I have also traveled on roads and highways so I can say that I have a lot of experience driving!
I started taking care of a 6-month-old baby, I spent time with her playing educational games, gave her milk, changed her diaper and made her sleep. I also took care of her 8-year-old brother, I went to pick him up from school, I gave him snacks and dinner, we spent a lot of time drawing, painting and playing board games. I am not a great artist but I think it is important for children to express themselves creatively.
On vacation I usually spend time with my nephews who are 5 and 7 years old, they love being outside so I spend a lot of time with them in the park, the square and the soccer field. We also cook, paint and draw.
I want with my host kids, to be able to create a close bond, for them to see me as a person who accompanies them and listens to them, like an older sister. I would like to create a friendship with my host parents, where communication is the basis of our relationship, I think that is the most important thing. Also so that I can feel comfortable and safe living with another family.
The reasons why I want to be an au pair are mainly because of the bond I want to create with the children and my host family, to be able to share my culture and learn from my host family, I also want to improve my English and grow as a person.
