My name is Katherine, however most of my friends prefer to call me Kat, (which suits me, as its also my favourite animal). I’m 26 years old, turning 27 in September 2020. I am confident and vibrant individual. I love bright colours and try to be as creative as I possible can. I have a passion for art, writing and reading, and I often read the British classics, (Wuthering Heights being my favourite). I am an active and fun loving person, and try to get out doors when I can. I absolutely adore my cat Akira - names after the film. I pride myself on being independent and being able to adapt to any environment put in front of me. I am open minded, free thinking and can easily take responsibility.

I recently worked as a nursery practitioner and pre school teacher, along with working in an after school club. I taught from ages 6 months to 9 years throughout a number of subjects. I also supported children's development, including physical, mental and academic from the ages 6 months to 3 years and was a room leader in the nursery, as well as being the equality coordinator and art director.

I studied English language all the way through school, finishing with an A*. I then went on to study it in further education where I obtained a B and carried this on by studying Journalism at University in London where I graduated with a 2:1. I lived in London for 3 years so I’m used to being away from home and I do enjoy city life.

I am hoping to move to Japan to experience the culture and the people as I have a love for the country. I feel one of the best ways to do this would be to immerse myself within the Japanese life and extremely motivated and excited to have the opportunity to do this if it arises.
