Carta al Aupair

Dear Au Pair,

We are a very closely knit, warm and welcoming family of 4 (mum, dad, 5 year old boy, 1 month old boy) + 2 cats, living in a leafy suburb of the City of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. We would like to have you helping us with our older son primarily, plus some light chores around the house when a need arises.

We are usually laid back, but we do have a lot of fun together and there's enough chaos (funny chaos) sometimes that you might begin to wonder who's the 5 year old, who's the dad and who are the cats! We hope you'll fit right in! On a more serious note, underlying all the fun and games, we are respectful and sensitive towards each other, well organised, very tidy, open, caring and a loving family. So, we would expect you to have similar values and bring no troubles, and hope you will be the next (7th?) member of our family.

You will have plenty of free time, access to a car (we prefer if you are able to drive in Australia), your own large room, almost your own big bathroom (only our son use it), and access and an invitation to be part of everything else we do as a family.

Descripción del trabajo

We don't have a busy schedule for you. So, you will have a lot of free time. I would say, you should expect to help us ~20-25 hrs a week. There may be rare times that we might need a bit of extra help (e.g. someone becomes sick, dad might need to travel for work for a few days, etc). "Help" here means mostly our 5 year old son's stuff such as preparing his meals, getting him ready in the morning or to bed, his laundry, play and activity time with him, some vacuuming around the house, some help with the cats if necessary and if you're a cat person.

Pocket money is provided per Australian guidelines/practices. We will negotiate the amount with you. Room+meals provided as well. We will pay for a mobile plan and a bus pass for you. You will also have unlimited access to high-speed WiFi at home and we are connected to Netflix/Prime/Disney.

Alojamiento del Au Pair

We live in a spacious two storey house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We are currently working on upscaling our garden to the next level and configuring one of the rooms as a small home gym. You will have your own large room and access to everything else just as the rest of the family. There's a supermarket and some shopping and cafes within walking distance. You will also have shared access to mum's car. The bus leaves our suburb every 10-15 mins and it goes all the way to the city while passing along large shopping malls, etc.
