Dear Au Pair,

Welcome to our family! My name is Per, and I am a senior father living alone with my 7-year-old son, Christian, in the wonderful city of Odense, located on the island of Funen in Denmark. Odense is famous as the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, and you’ll find the city both charming and lively, with lots of parks, cafés, and a friendly community.

We live in a cozy apartment with everything you need, including your own private room and bathroom. Our home is located just about 10 minutes by car or bus from the city center. Public transportation is excellent here—there are bus stops very close to our home, and the train station in Odense connects you easily to the rest of Denmark.

The nearest language school is about 15 minutes away by bus or car, and there are also universities and further education options if you wish to continue your studies during your stay.

As I work full-time, I am looking for an au pair with a driver’s license (you’ll have access to a car) who can help with some daily household chores and sometimes pick up or drop off my son at school. We are a warm and open family who values kindness and a good sense of humor, and you’ll be considered part of the family.

In your free time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore Odense, meet new friends, and enjoy all that Denmark has to offer. You are always encouraged to take language classes or join local activities to make the most of your stay.
