We are a very close knit family, composed of Louise (11 years old), Audrey (school teacher - 47 years old) and Bertrand (managing director of an investment management company - 54 years old).

We have a little dog, Oops, a 5 years old Cavalier King Charles.

We live in a house in Thionville, a city of 40,000 inhabitants located between Metz (25 km) and Luxembourg City (30 km). Working in Luxembourg, Bertrand leaves home early in the morning before Louise wakes up. I work on Thursdays and Fridays in a school based in Thionville. The days where I do not work, I take care of Louise and bring her to school and I look for her at the end of school. During such days I usually accompany her in her various extra-curricular activities.

On weekends we have variable and diverse activities such as city trips, seeing our friends, going to restaurants...

Your missions:

• You will be the reference person for the care of our little girl Louise who is 11 year-old;

• You will be responsible for picking up the Louise from school and bringing her back to our home on specific days (2-3 times a week);

• We count on you for everything related to the well-being and safety of Louise: fun, creative and educational activities (in English), while keeping her living space in good order;

• You will accompany Louise to her extra-curricular activities and occasionally take part in some of their outings during the school holidays;

• You will speak English to Louise;

• You will be entrusted with the maintenance of Louise and your living environment and will help us to keep the house tied (FYI we have a cleaning lady that comes 2 times a week so we do not expect you to do some cleaning and/or ironing). For Louise’s environment, we will ask you to help her to keep her room tied but not that you do it alone as it is important that she participates to the tasks.

• You will prepare the evening meals for the family (you included) some days during the week, and will carry out the food shopping.

Your profile:

You have experience with children;
You have a driving license;
You are a very gentle person but know how to be authoritarian when necessary;
Your love and dedication for children is flawless;
Simple cooking for others is a joy for you, you know how to create meal menus independently;
You are fluent in English;
You are able to work independently, taking initiatives and are organized.
Liking skiing would be a nice to have.

You will receive 700 Euros (net) of pocket money per month
You will have your own car (it will also be at your disposal during your free time)
We will cover for your monthly mobile phone subscription
We will cover for the costs of your French courses
You will have your own bedroom and your own bathroom
You will be free usually on Saturdays or another day if we commonly agree to - being specified that we are flexible if you want to take off a long weekend
You will be covered by the social security
You will have 5 weeks of holidays/year.
