Carta al Aupair

Hello!

we are looking for an au-pair who wants to be part of our family and helps us taking care of our little Milo. We would like that person to be kind and gentle. Ideally, she has already some experience with toddlers and has studied something related with early childhood education (but these are nice to have only).

For us, having an au-pair is a great way to get to know foreign cultures better and to create an international environment for Milo, something we value a lot. Of course, it is also a huge help since both of us work.

We would be glad to welcome you to our home as if you were family and invite you to our activities if you like (hiking, playing boardgames, etc.). We know leaving home is tough so we want to make you feel at home as much as possible.

If you are interested kindly read our profile and get in touch with us if you want.

Regards!
Milo, Tania & Adrian

Descripción del trabajo

Our planned schedule for 2025 looks somewhat like this:

Adrian will leave early, around 6h in the morning and usually come back towards 15h.
Tania will work from around 8h to 17h, depending on the day she will work from home or she will go to the office.

On the evenings we enjoy our time together.

We expect the au-pair to take care of Milo while both of us are at work, from 8 to 15: feeding, playing, changing diapers, etc. There are some parks and playgrounds nearby which are great options. A great activity is taking him to the community center where there is an indoors playground and he can easily spend over an hour just running around :-)

We are considering to enroll Milo to the kindergarden a few hours every day next course. If so, the AuPair would take him there and pick him up afterwards. Meanwhile she would have some spare time.

If the au-pair wants to help us with the cooking or other household chores we will be thankful, but it is certainly not what we expect. Taking care of our beloved Milo is what really matters.

Compensations and benefits:
- 80€/week salary
- 50% medical insurance if required
- board and lodging
- inscription to sports activities at the community centre

Alojamiento del Au Pair

We live in Vitoria-Gasteiz, in northern Spain. It is a modern duplex which we are sure you will like. In the lower floor there is one bathroom and the three bedrooms. Another bathroom, kitchen and a huge living room are located in the upper floor. We spend most of our time in the living room with great views on the hills and forests south of Vitoria.

The flat is in the outskirts of the town. For us the location is great because there are many parks and fields nearby and it just takes around 15 minutes to walk to the city center.

About our region:
Vitoria-Gasteiz is the capital of the Basque Country. It is a rather small town, with approximately 250k people living here, so sometimes it feels a bit like a village and you can reach any point by bike.

The region around Vitoria is different to what comes to mind when one thinks of Spain. The Basque Country is known for its amazing mountains and hiking routes (Selva de Irati, Urkiola, Parque de Gorbeia, etc.), tasty food and a stunning coast line (Mutriku, Bermeo, Hondarribia, Zarautz and a long etc.). If you are a GoT fan you might want to know that Dragonstone is indeed here as well ?

Of course, the region is also known for it's own culture, history and language. Basque people (not us because we are not from here), take pride in all of these and promote it whenever they can.

We think Vitoria is a good place for somebody who prefers a town rather than a metropolis like Barcelona or Madrid, to be able to move by bike or bus everywhere, enjoys hiking, warm weather compared to Central Europe but not too warm, likes practicing sports (impressive offer of sport activities organised by the local government) and likes to go to the beach but doesn't need to go there everyday (during the warmer season there is a bus which goes each weekend day to a different beach/coastal village but it is a one or two hour drive).
