Hi! My name is Katherine, I am 23 years old from Ireland. Growing up I always seen au pairs at the school gates picking up my friends from class and it always intrigued me and since then it was always something I was interested in doing. I would love to join a family who I can get along with and be treated as another member of the family while we work together to look after the children. I previously worked in the US at a summer camp looking after all different ages of children with many different backgrounds. This gave me a great interest in working with and helping children while also being abroad and soaking up a new culture and way of life. Throughout my schooling I had the opportunity to do work experience in childcare settings and with my experience working at a summer camp I feel I would be well equip to work with children in their everyday life. Hearing from friends who had au pairs when they were children, they always express how fondly they remember their time with their au pairs and the impact they created on them, I would love to have this positive impact on children that I may au pair.
