Dear Host Family,
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Melanie and I am 25 years old. You surely get a lot of these letters from prospective Au Pairs, but rest assured, you will not regret to read about my reasons why I want to become your Au Pair.

I am currently living with my mother, my 21 year old sister and my 11 year old brother in Brits. My dad lives with his new wife but I see him regularly. I am postgraduate in the field of International Relations. I can’t wait to explore more from the world and other countries afterwards!
I am planning to pursue a master’s degree but at the moment am taking a break from academics to have a different life experience and have some time to calmly reflect on my future academic/professional orientation thus spending sometime abroad and experiencing a new culture will be very interesting.

I would like to describe myself as a caring, fun, reliable, patient and hardworking person. I love spending time with children, I usually spend most of my time with my little brother. I can never get enough of kids lovely innocent personalities and truthfulness .I am interested in experiencing a new family life, since it offers a cultural context that is different from mine .I would love to learn a new culture and language.
You can expect me to take care of your children the way you want me to for example bathing, feeding, playing, helping with homework ,taking them to school and all other responsibilities. I also do not mind helping with few household chores. When it comes to childcare experience I do take care of my young nieces, nephews and neighbors and friend's kids occasionally ranging from age 06 months-15+ years and I take care of my baby brother who is now 10years old.

During my spare time I love reading, especially English novels. One of my favorite authors is Sarah Jakes Roberts and I can’t wait to have access to an English Library to browse through all the literature I like!

I am looking forward for a live in arrangement with the host family. I am flexible & would love to have a working hours schedule. I would be happy to speak with you and to answers any questions.
