Dear future host family,

My name is Irene, I’m 23 years old and I come from Italy. I am currently completing the final year of my Master’s degree in Primary Education at the University of Genoa, while also continuing my studies in Philosophy. I’m a calm, caring and curious person, with a deep passion for childhood education and intercultural exchange.

Becoming an Au Pair feels like a beautiful opportunity to combine my love for children with the desire to discover new cultures in an authentic and meaningful way. I truly enjoy creating safe and joyful spaces for children, where they feel listened to and free to express themselves.

I have experience working with children in schools and nurseries, as well as through international internships in Denmark and Uruguay. In Denmark, I studied outdoor and intercultural education through the “Crossing Borders” Erasmus+ program, and had the chance to do an internship in a forest kindergarten, where I learned the value of nature-based learning. In Uruguay, thanks to the CINDA program, I attended courses in Natural Sciences and Educational Technology, obtained a B2 level in Spanish, and worked in a bilingual preschool, enriching my approach to early childhood bilingualism.

At the moment, I am also taking care of very young children through babysitting, which I find both enriching and heartwarming.

What motivates me most is building relationships based on trust and empathy — and contributing, even in small ways, to the daily happiness of the children I care for. I would be very happy to share a part of your family’s journey, offering my presence, my help, and all the experience I’ve gathered so far.
