- About family and friends:
When I was in Indonesia, I live with my mother, sister, and two adorable sugar gliders and a cat. While my mother is a dedicated housewife, my sister is pursuing a degree in Mathematics Education. Our family, now consisting of just the three of us, faced a significant loss last year when my father passed away. While my father was still alive, my family often relocated due to my father job’s demand, but I find the experience enjoyable as it allows us to immerse ourselves in the diverse cultures of each new place. We're a close-knit and warm family that cherishes our weekly walks, particularly in colder locales like hills or mountains, which benefit our respiratory health. Exercise is a shared interest, and we make it a point to go for walks on Sunday mornings to ensure our overall well-being. Despite our busy schedules, we prioritize togetherness, dedicating at least one day each week to gather as a family.
- About my education:
I graduated from Yogyakarta State University with a major in English Language Education Study Program in 2022. Back in 2021, I was honored to be selected as a scholarship recipient from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, enabling me to pursue studies for one semester in Lithuania. Lithuania has etched a deep and beautiful impression in my memory. During my time there, I even volunteered at my campus art exhibition, adding another layer of enjoyment to this unforgettable chapter in my life.
Following my graduation from college, I embarked on a diverse professional journey. Initially, I served as a lecturer assistant in research for a span of 7 months where we researched schools in remote areas in Sukabumi and tried to improve the English skills of students and teachers. Subsequently, I assumed the role of assistant manager at an education startup, dedicating 5 months to this endeavor.
- My motivation to become an AuPair:
I would love to be your Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations. My language proficiency in English and German, a little French, and Lithuanian can also be a great asset in promoting your children's multilingual skills.
Moreover I'm a great fit to be an au pair because I'm really good at fitting into new situations and getting along with people. I'm always on time, making sure I do what I need to do when I should. I'm also super careful about doing things the right way, especially when it comes to taking care of kids. I'm a positive and friendly person, and I know how to talk to both kids and parents. I want to create a happy and safe environment for the children I'll be looking after, and I'm excited about being part of a new family and being someone they can trust and rely on.
- My expectations to the host family :
My wish for potential host families is to encourage good communication, as I believe that the cornerstone of building strong relationships lies in effective communication. I also wish that the host family is familiar with the rights of an au pair, as I am committed to reciprocating and fulfilling my duties in this role. During my time as an au pair, I hope that the host family can share and expand my understanding the culture by visiting exhibitions, museums or festivals together. If possible, the host family can also introduce me to the local culture and language clubs. Since I value cultural difference so much, this will allow me to gain deeper insights into the country's cultural diversity.
