Dear Future Host Family,

My name is SIYA ANTONY, I am 18 years old, and I come from the beautiful state of Kerala in southern India. I have recently completed my higher secondary education and am currently working as an Au Pair in Kerala. I come from a close-knit, supportive family—my father is a businessman, and my mother is an accountant. I have always grown up in a warm and caring environment, which has inspired my love for family and children.

I have always been passionate about working with children. Becoming an Au Pair in Germany is not only an exciting opportunity for me to gain more childcare experience, but also a chance to immerse myself in a new culture, learn a new language, and grow as an individual. I see this as a unique cultural exchange where I can contribute positively to a family’s everyday life while learning from them in return.

I believe I would be a great fit for your family for several reasons. I have hands-on experience in taking care of children, whether it’s toddlers or older kids. I am comfortable with daily routines like feeding, dressing, playing, storytelling, and helping with homework. I always make sure that children are not just safe, but also happy and engaged in meaningful activities.

I have been learning German for the past 12 months, and while I am currently at the A1 level, I am dedicated to improving my language skills every day. I am also fluent in English and Malayalam, and I see language as a powerful tool to connect with others. I am confident that I will quickly adapt to life in Germany with the help of daily conversations and support from the host family.

I consider myself an extroverted, cheerful, and reliable person. I enjoy both spending time at home and exploring new places. I am always eager to learn, help around the house, and be a part of family life. I do not smoke, have no allergies, and I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Additionally, I know how to ride a bicycle and am willing to use it for daily commuting, if needed.

My goal as an Au Pair is to provide a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for your children. I am confident that my positive attitude, patience, cultural openness, and sincere love for children make me a great choice as your next Au Pair. I am excited about the possibility of becoming a part of your family and sharing unforgettable experiences together.

Describe your experience as an Au Pair:
I currently wors an Au Pair in Kerala, India, where I take care of young children. My responsibilities include helping with daily routines such as feeding, dressing, bathing, playing educational games, storytelling, and ensuring the children's safety and well-being throughout the day. I also assist with light household tasks related to the children, such as organizing their play area or preparing simple meals. Through this experience, I have learned the importance of patience, clear communication, and being attentive to the unique needs of each child. These experiences have strengthened my love for working with children and given me the confidence to care for them with responsibility and affection.

Why would you like to become an Au Pair abroad?
I would like to become an Au Pair abroad because it offers a unique opportunity to combine my passion for childcare with cultural exchange and personal growth. Living with a host family in Germany would allow me to experience daily life in a different culture, improve my German language skills, and understand new ways of parenting and education. This experience will help me become more independent, adaptable, and open-minded. I am especially excited to share my Indian culture while learning about German traditions and customs. Being an Au Pair abroad is not just a job for me—it is a meaningful journey where I can grow as a person while becoming a loving and dependable support for a family.
