Dear Host Family,
Hallo, thank you for taking the time to read my letter. My name is Margaret Wambui. I am 23 years old Kenyan. I come from a family of 6 members, my dad and mum and my siblings. I speak fluent English and Swahili. I also have basic knowledge in German and French.
I am a high school graduate. Currently I am working as a shop assistant but also as a babysitter. I have gained my childcare experience mostly through babysitting. I also completed a voluntary work at Wings of Hope Rescue Home, where unsupported pregnant teenage girls are nurtured and provided a safe haven, giving them a chance to chase their dreams again. I love looking after children as you can learn so much from them. I am excited about the opportunity to work with a family and support their children's growth and development.
Twice a week I look after my nephew and niece (they are twins). I get them ready in the morning, take them to school and later on head to work. During the weekend when they are not schooling, we always have the best time together.
During my time as a volunteer, I provided care for children ranging from the ages of 0-7 years, ensuring their safety and well being while engaging them in educational and recreational activities. As a volunteer, I planned and implemented after-school programs for groups of children, helping them with homework, teaching new skills and fostering a positive environment for leaning and personal growth.
I would describe myself as responsible, reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation.
During my free time, I like going for a nature walk, hiking, riding bicycle, trying new dishes and spending time with children.
I hold a valid driver's license with experience, a passport, police clearance form and fully vaccinated.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you.
