Dear host family,

First of all I would like to thank you that you take the time to read my letter. With this letter I would like to bring you closer to my life. I will try as best as possible to describe my life here, my wishes and dreams, my friends and family and of course myself.

My name is Jelena, I’m 20 years old and I’m from Serbia. I’m living in a town with my mom Miroslava and my dog Kio. I have older sibling who has newborn baby Aleksa.
For giving you a first impression of me I want to start telling you something about me and my personality:
I would describe me as a reliable, friendly, positive and open-minded young woman who is interested in getting to know new countries and people. I attend University of Belgrade (Faculty of Electrical Engineering), where I am very successful with my current GPA 9,4/10. In my free time, I love doing different kind of sports (e.g. pilates, gym), playing tennis and zumba dance. I am in healthy life team- I am all in healthy food, training, reading, walking in nature, enjoying life with less tehnology. I also enjoy baking, meeting my friends, watching movies, reading books and travelling through the world.

In summer 2022, I was an au pair in Madrid. There were 3 boys (11 years old) in my host family. We played games, ate together, sang songs, danced, did handicrafts, read out for the kids and played in the pool every day. We practiced English throughout board games and quizes. I enjoyed these 6 weeks and it was a helpful experience for me to care for them. I also often take care of my brother's baby (5 months) and my aunt's child (5 years old).

I enjoy traveling, getting to know new cultures, trying traditional food, walking down the streets and getting to know new areas of your country. Last two years, I visited Italy (Milan, Rome, Venice, Lido di Jesolo), France (Paris), UAE (Dubai), Greece (Solun, Athens, Mykonos), Spain (Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca), Bosnia (Sarajevo), Egypt (Hurghada), Austria (Vienna) and Hungary( Budapest).

I would like to thank you very much for taking your time to get to know me better. I am looking forward to get to know you, be an Au Pair and also a family member in your family and to spend a great and unforgettable year.
