Hi! My name is Silja, I’m 19 years old and I’m from Finland. I’d describe my personality as open-minded, kind, sympathetic and humorous. I am currently living with my mother in Tampere which is the third largest city in Finland. At the moment I’m still a student in upper secondary high school, where I graduate in December 2024, So I could start as an Au Pair in January 2025 as its earliest. In my spare time, I love to play sports and go to the gym. I also enjoy to spend time with my family and friends. I also have a dog. He is a mix of Karelian bear dog and labrador retriever. His name is Kapu and I love him very much.

I want to become an Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. Also I don’t have any younger siblings, and I have always dreamed of being a big sister to someone. I want to become someone for your child, who they can trust and ask for advice or help for homework or just someone to play with.

I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with many responsibilities and that it will not always be just playing and fun. I have a responsible and calm temper that will help to solve difficult situations, for example when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me. I am easy to adapt to different cultures, surroundings and daily routines and I have great pressure tolerance.

Living with me is easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have to follow all your house rules. If something isn’t working out quite as you prefer, I’d appreciate talking about it honestly instead of ignoring things. I also promise to be honest and tell you straight away if something bothers me.
