Hello there,
my name is Emma and I am a 19 year old women from Germany.
If I had to describe myself in 4 words, it would be spontaneous, social, creative, and extraordinary!
I love traveling and getting to know new cultures, languages and people. Back in 2022/23 I did an exchange year on the Island of Newfoundland, Canada. Not even half a year later after coming back, I visited my friends, whom I met there, in South Korea. Visiting them made me aware of my passion for traveling.
Besides traveling I am a big fan of badminton, bicycling, drawing, listening to music, baking, illustration, reading, and trying out all kind of crafts.

The reason I want to become an Au Pair is simply because it is a good opportunity to get to know a new culture and becoming close with another family. Traveling and actually living in a different country is a big difference.
Not only will I learn many new things from my host family, they will also learn a lot from my country and me. So it is a give and take, which I think is amazing.

A question of probably every host family is:,, why should it be her?"
In my opinion it is important to find someone who is suitable for their family and not only doing her or his job, so that they can earn money.
The reason I believe that I can be a good match is because I am someone who loves taking care of others and spending quality time with them. As an Au Pair I have the chance to do this. I am a big fan of children and pets. I used to have an internship for a month at a kindergarten and the children were all so lovely and some of them were so sad when I had to leave. So was I.
I am really looking forward to meet you as a family and I am sure we will have a wonderful time together.

Last but not least, why I think I qualify for the position is because I am good with children and have a lot of patience. Spending time with younger children is such a pleasure to me and it is so fun to see their point of view from the world. Back when I was younger I used to babysit my younger neighbourhood kids and I learned how to take good care of them. I don´t see myself as a nanny or an adult when I am around them.. More like a friend or older sister! Thank you for taking your time reading my letter and like I said before, I can´t wait to get to know you in the future :)
