Hello, my name is Lucy. I am 18 years old and live in the the UK, I am a dual national with citizenship for both the UK and Australia. I am currently in my final year of school but as of September 2023 will be taking a year out of education. I am planning to study Neuroscience at University in 2024 in the UK. I am interested in becoming a Nanny/Au Pair as it is something that feels extremely natural to me, I love spending time with younger family members and babysitting. l am a suitable candidate as I am able to drive both manual and automatic cars if needed. I have a GCSE qualification in Food and Nutrition as well as having cooked and baked from a young age meaning I am extremely comfortable in the kitchen. Furthermore, I have basic first aid and CPR training so will be able to manage the inevitable bumps and bruises. I am able to cycle and swim very well again if it is needed as a skill.

As I have been in full time education up until this point I have no formal qualification as an Au Pair or Nanny. However, I have gained experience for caring for children from babysitting several families over the last 3 years. The children I have cared for have been between 18 months and 10 years old giving me some insight into how to engage and communicate with different age groups. What I lack in experience I hope I am able to make up with my keen attitude for learning and always trying my best. I have been fortunate in having the opportunity to travel with my parents to many places providing me with much appreciation for many beautiful locations. Becoming an Au Pair or Nanny abroad would give me the opportunity to discover a new place; understand a different culture and care for lovely children. To be cliche, this sort of opportunity is a dream!
