Dear Host Family,

My name is Evelyn, I am 17 years old and will turn 18 very soon. I come from Tenerife (Spain), but I am currently living in the Netherlands, where I have spent the last two summers and now continue improving my English while gaining international experience. I would love to continue this path abroad, instead of going back to Tenerife, because I want to keep improving my English and also learn French or German.

I would describe myself as affectionate, attentive, agile, and kind. I truly enjoy spending time with children and I have gained a lot of experience caring for my two younger sisters (6 months and 7 years old), as well as my cousins (10 and 13 years old).

From the age of 14 to 16, I looked after my sisters and two cousins every afternoon after school for around 2 hours each day. This gave me consistent, hands-on experience in daily routines, helping with homework, preparing snacks, and keeping them entertained. Thanks to this, I feel very comfortable and confident with kids of different ages.

In my free time, I love drawing, dancing, singing, and playing video games, activities that I also like to share with children. I especially enjoy creative activities like drawing and crafts, dancing and playing games, because they are fun and educational at the same time.

I also like cooking and I can show your family some traditional Spanish dishes. In return, I would be very happy to learn more about your country’s culture and language. I speak Spanish (native), English at a B2 level, and I am learning Dutch.

What makes me special as an Au Pair is that I am responsible, humble and sincere, and I always put children’s safety first. I truly love children and I am motivated to share my culture with them while learning from yours.

Expériences en garde d'enfants

I would like to become an Au Pair because I truly enjoy spending time with children and supporting families in their daily life. For the past two years, I have been in the Netherlands improving my English and working during the summers, and now I would love to start a new chapter abroad, discovering a new culture while learning French or German. I see this experience as a great opportunity to grow personally, improve my language skills, and become part of a family.
