1. My name is Zoë-blu, I am 22 years old and I am currently working as a part-time au pair in South Africa. Along with au pairing I also work part-time with a disabled dance company as one of their resident dancers, as well as being a free-lance actress who is currently working on a production that has been and still is travelling through the Western Cape performing at many different festivals and theatres. I am also currently training to become a yoga teacher as well as a certified masseuse. I have a passion for everything I put my mind to and really find so much fulfillment in everything that I do.

2. I have always been drawn to children, I take so much inspiration from them in all aspect of life. Something I find the most rewarding is the relationships I have created with the children I au pair as well as other children I have worked with and looked after. It is a beautiful journey learning about each other and how to handle one another in times of need and in times of fun and bliss. I really want to continue my journey with children and feel this is a wonderful path for me to continue to do so.

3. I am an extremely dedicated person. I love giving my full attention to any task that is presented to me which lends itself to au pairing because I feel an au pair really needs to be fully present when working with their children. I am an extremely grounded person and feel it is very easy for myself to move past and overcome stressful/chaotic situations. I feel grounded-ness is extremely important when working with children as it allows them to feel safe and secure in any given space or situation. It also allows for them to confide and trust in you, again building the strength of our relationship.

Furthermore, I am firm but I am also aware that a child needs to express themselves and explore their childhood by playing and taking ownership for themselves in their daily lives. I am extremely hands on and love involving myself while playing with children but I also understand the importance of allowing space for a child to work through their own conflicts with one another. I have such a passion for children, I really hope I have a long journey ahead that is filled with their spirit, confidence and eagerness.

4. I feel I am extremely qualified for this position as I have experience as an au pair and babysitter and will continue to grow this skill of mine until my next au pair family presents themselves. I currently look after a 2 year old, 4 year old and 7 year old. An absolutely wonderful family! I immediately clicked with the children already on our video call, I find it extremely easy to get along with kids. I have also lived on my own for 4 and a half years now so I am very capable of looking after myself and others.
