Dear Host Family,
My name is Eva, and I am grateful for the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I am nineteen years old and come from Bosnia and Herzegovina, where I was raised in a large and loving Christian family. I speak Serbo-Croatian, and I am fluent in English. I recently graduated from a music high school, where I studied the flute as my main instrument. Music has always been a meaningful part of my life. Studying it formally helped me develop discipline, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the arts. I continue to enjoy playing and sharing music with others.
I consider myself a responsible and motivated young woman who is eager to learn and grow. From a young age, I had the opportunity to meet people from different countries and cultures. These experiences sparked my interest in exploring the world beyond my home and inspired me to seek out new environments where I can learn and build meaningful connections.
Although my travels so far have been within Europe, I am excited about the possibility of expanding my experiences and stepping into a new culture. I feel that this is the right time in my life to embrace independence and take on new challenges that will shape my personal and professional future.
In the fall of the year 2026, I plan to begin studying at a business school. I am passionate about learning how organizations work and how leadership, creativity, and service can come together to make a meaningful impact. I believe that spending time abroad before beginning my studies will help me grow in confidence, maturity, and cultural understanding, all of which are important qualities for a future in business.
My family has played an important role in shaping my values. My parents have worked in Christian humanitarian projects for more than twenty-five years, teaching us the importance of compassion, service, and kindness. Growing up as one of ten children has given me a strong sense of responsibility, cooperation, and empathy. Our household has always been filled with love, support, and a deep commitment to one another. These qualities have stayed with me and guide the way I approach relationships and new opportunities.
For the past four years, I have been actively involved in volunteering at Christian camps. There, I helped lead groups of children, organized activities, and provided support and encouragement to ensure that every child felt safe, included, and valued. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. I have discovered a deep joy in caring for others and creating a positive environment where everyone can thrive.
I would be honored to become part of your family and contribute in a meaningful way.
Best wishes,
Eva
