I have never been an Au Pair before but have worked as a nanny and occasional babysitter providing me with tons of experience and growth. There is a first time for everything, so I look forward to being an Au Pair!
I speak many languages, have always liked teaching kids' new words to build their mind and communication skills, it's fun! I grew up traveling to many countries as well as doing missionaries, working with kids making me comfortable with any culture, language, environment to just focus on developing a special connection. I am an auntie! 1-2 times a week I babysit my 2-year-old active niece and my 6-month-old nephew. I grew up as the oldest female cousin in my family so from a young age I've been helping my aunts with babysitting. I'm the middle child and from a young age helped take care of my 3 younger siblings, driving them to school, sport practices, making meals, diaper changes etc. In 2022 I became a nanny, taking care of 2-4 kids during the day, as well as making sure the parent's got date nights in or if they needed to run errands. Since my former boss has relocated to another city, I now occasionally do date night babysitting for another family with 2 kids, ages 4-7.
Some more about me- When I was a nanny, I didn't do screen time for the kids, rather focusing on Montessori learning styles. I encouraged active play time, storytelling, reading, taking walks, a lot of nature time with fresh air, park time etc. I taught the kids to count, ABC's, manners, being considerate of other's feelings by sharing toys, and so much more!
I am thoughtful, organized, reliable, patient, active, outgoing, independent, and creative. I'm a fast learner, and never hesitate to ask questions especially when babysitting so you can feel comfortable with leaving me with your kids with your preferred methods of parenting style & care.
