I worked as an Au Pair in the USA for almost four wonderful years, and during that time, I had the opportunity to care for children of different ages and needs — an experience that truly shaped who I am today.

My first host family had two children: Naisha (7 years old) and Avyaan, a newborn. When I arrived, my host mom was pregnant, so I’ve been with Avyaan since his very first day. I was responsible for all aspects of his care: feeding, bathing, playtime, nap supervision, and ensuring he was always safe, loved, and happy.

Naisha had special needs due to a rare brain condition, which caused significant developmental delays. She required full-time support for even basic activities such as eating, bathing, and dressing. My responsibilities included administering her medications, taking her to therapy sessions and observing them closely, feeding her (as she was unable to do so on her own), and often staying with her at night when needed. It was a deeply meaningful experience that taught me patience, compassion, and attentiveness.

My second host family had one child, Parker, who was 1.5 years old when I arrived and 4 years old when I left. I absolutely adored him. I was closely involved in every aspect of his daily routine — and as he grew, my responsibilities evolved with him. From toddler milestones to early learning and independence, I was always there to support and guide him.

Most recently, I worked as a kindergarten teacher, which further strengthened my love for early childhood education and development. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of children’s needs and reinforced my belief in creating nurturing, safe, and joyful environments for them to thrive.
