Hello family! My name is Emma, I am 22 years old and from Atlanta, Georgia. Two years ago I took the leap to volunteer abroad; within those two years I have been able to immerse myself in several new cultures, languages, and ways of life. The international relations I’ve made abroad have given me the gift of home across oceans. Home in the middle of a mountainous valley in Tenerife, on a 200 year old property on the island of St. Croix, home in a village overthrown by children in Vaihingen an Der Enz, Germany. I could go on and on. Traveling has helped me find places that nourish my spirit, and now I’m looking for the next place that I can call home. When I was 17 I travelled to San Francisco and had the pleasure of meeting a large group of Au Pairs from Spain. They explained to me the duties of being an Au Pair and how it has changed their lives for the better. I was sold on the idea immediately. I was excited knowing it is what my future holds. Being an Au Pair means to me creating unforgettable memories that shapes the outlook on both me and the children’s life. Growing up in a large family has taught me the importance of being a good role model for children of all ages. I am deeply fulfilled by providing companionship and emotional support for children. I want to be a child’s role model ,offering guidance, encouragement, and a caring presence in the household. I have relevant experience in childcare, including previous nanny roles and babysitting. I am committed to fostering a love for learning and especially art. I can assist with homework, engage in sports/activities, and encourage creative curiosity.
