Hello future host! First off, thank you so much for being interested in me. I am so excited to get to know you more!

My name is Katherine, but I go by Katie, and I am a 19 year old university student living in the United States, specifically Florida. I have lived in Florida my whole life but love traveling and have family in the UK so I frequent there. I am studying Mathematics with a minor in Actuarial Sciences and Women's Studies.

I am interested in becoming an Au Pair because I love working with children and am super interested in trying out different places to live in the world. I have a sister five years younger than me who is my best friend and I have always enjoyed helping younger children, whether it be working as a tutor, summer camp counselor, or babysitting. I often go to England to visit my family there and I enjoy it so much more than living in the United States. I have known for a while now that I want to permanently move abroad in the future and I think that being an Au Pair would be a great combination of learning about new places and helping children and families.

I think candidates should host me because I am super caring, hard working, and responsible. I care a lot about all of the people in my life and put a lot into my relationships with them. I make sure everyone around me is always in a good place and also having fun! I work hard in my schooling as well as my career. I have consistently had a job since 16 and always put 100% of my effort and focus into whatever I am working on. I will place the safety of your children above anything else and will make sure to follow the instructions you give me.

I believe I qualify for being an Au Pair for my extensive work with students and children throughout my life. Growing up with a younger sister with a large age gap, I am used to acting as both a sibling to her as well as a parent. She came to me for everything whether if it was advice, homework help or if she needed someone to go to the mall with her. I have also been babysitting since I was around 12 and have watched children of all ages as well as tutored them and helped with other tasks around the house. The summer of 2023, I have worked at my university as an orientation leader and help students all day feel comfortable taking this new step in their life. I help students pick out classes, get acclimated to the university, and give them advice as well as being their first friend at the university. I can work well with all ages of children and would be so lucky to have this opportunity. I am quick to learn and would pick up quickly on the routine life of the family as well as the city I am living in.
