Dear host family

My name is Mild. I am 21 years old. I am a second-year student in the university in the major of Arts Program in Music in Thailand. I am planning to take a gap year and become an Au Pair. And follow my dream to spend my life abroad. I was an intern at the high school to teach the traditional Thai musical instruments for the students between 14 to 16 years old. It was a great experience for me. I really enjoyed teaching them. Actually, I have a lot of experience with children of different ages, more than 1,000 hours. I used to work at the kindergarten as an assistant teacher with children between 3-5 years old for 6 months. My main task was playing, changing, feeding, giving a bath and putting them down for a nap. During the nap time for kids. I was preparing snacks and creating some activities for them to do after a nap. Such as painting, gaming and easy crafting for kids. Apart from that, I also help my aunt to take care of my niece from when she was born until she turns 1 and half years old. I love her so much like my own sister. I also have learned about First Aid (I have attached the picture of my certificate in the album) . I think the most important thing for the children is to keep them safe.
I live with a big family with my grandparents also. So, I am the one who takes care of the house while my parents are at work. I help take care of my grandparents, cleaning and especially, cooking for my family. I really enjoyed doing it for them. And I am happy to hear that they said my food was delicious.

I am a very calm person. Because I was learning about musicals. I need to put in a lot of effort. So, I can tell that I am very good at concentration. I like to create some fun games or activities for the children. Mostly with music and singing because it is a good way for them to learn and enjoy it. I think when we can make a good atmosphere for the kids it can help them to learn better. I am an optimistic person. I understand every child can be different because I have known it from my experience when I was teaching them musical instruments.

I think the Au Pair program suits me. It is not only to get experience with children but also get a lot of experience in your life. I am pretty sure that I am very good with children. Time passes quickly when I am with them and I understand it is normal to be a bit difficult to adjust myself in different countries. But the best thing is I can learn something new and the children can learn something new from me with all cultures and skills.
