Hello future Host Family, my name is María Báez, I am 23 years old and I am from Bogotá, Colombia. I am very excited to have an amazing experience being an Au Pair, I am ready to give your family all my love, my knowledge and my patience, and I am also ready to learn about your culture, your language, your interests and everything else that you want to share with me.
In Colombia I used to live with my mother, who is a speech therapist, my father, who is an architect and my brother, who is studying civil engineering. We have two cats and a dog. We are a very united family. I also like spending time with my friends, doing activities like going to the movies, cooking, painting, playing tennis and being at the country club.
My first language is spanish, but I have studied all my life in a bilingual school, so I consider that I have a good level of English, which allows me to communicate and, above all, understand others. I’m also very interested in learning new words and improving my second language with us, and if you want I can also help you learning Spanish.

I have been an Au Pair since January/2024, and I like it so much. I want to work as an au pair because I really enjoy taking care of kids and spending time with them, since they have a lot of things to teach and learn and we can also help them to become kind and understanding people. I am also very interested in learning about new cultures and live the experience being part of a family.
I feel very comfortable with children and I like being able to learn from them, I consider that they experience life from a much calmer and loving perspective. I also have experience with children who have special needs or conditions like autism, for example, because I have helped my mom with her work sometimes.
I have been taking care of my cousins since they were babies and I have also take care of other children between 1 and 12 years old.
I have been driving since I was 16 years old, so I have experience driving and I also have my driver license from Colombia here with me, so if you need me to take them to any activity or any place I can help you with that.
