I want to become an Au Pair & Live-in Tutor because I’ve never really had the opportunity to travel out of Asia and have never travelled overseas on my own before. As such, I feel that I’ve never really stepped out of my comfort zone and what I know of the world is very narrow and myopic. Because of the pandemic, this is even more so! Opportunities to travel is limited and financially, it is not an option for me at the moment. Being an Au Pair will relieve the financial burden that comes with travelling overseas and allow me to immerse myself in a new culture, to adapt another family’s lifestyle and to grow in the process. It will help expand my worldview and learn to live independently. Who knows, the time spent overseas might change the course of my life, interest-wise and career-wise!
