We are a family of four, from Valencia (Spain), living in different countries around the world because of my job (I am a diplomat). We currently live in Vietnam and will be moving to Belgium (Brussels) in August 2025. We will live in a house with back yard in Uccle, near the French School, where there will be a room for the au pair as a new member of the family.
Emma and Jan are 7 and 5 years old, they are two lively, active, adorable and loving children. Because both parents work, we need some assistance with them, mainly taking them to school in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon (walking or biking distance) and spending time with them whenever needed (when they are not in school). Another reason why we would like to host an au pair (I have been one myself) is so that Emma and Jan can practice and improve their English, which we expect to be the only communication language between the au pair and them. They speak Spanish, Catalan and French and are learning English. We are all used to living in different countries and continents. Cultural exchange is part of our day to day life. We are thrilled with the idea of hosting an au pair in our home and welcoming him or her in our family. We are very open to discussing the conditions (hours and tasks) so do not hesitate to contact us!
