Dear Host Family,

My name is Sofia, 23 years of age, from the Philippines. I'm currently working as an an au pair here in the Netherlands. My contract will end on September 2024, to which i am hoping to extend in a different country after and explore more of what Europe can offer.

Im taking good care of the 4 children with one being a special needs child. I do light household chores which includes laundry, cleaning, cooking, and i also bring the kids to school and pick them up after. I can cook simple meals and would gladly share our native dishes if you wish.

Im confident to say that i am good with kids too since I grew up taking care of my 4 siblings. Im the oldest and I can assure you that I'm going to be a great addition to your family.

I hope you do consider me as a good candidate for your family as i will be more than happy to help you in any way i can. May this opportunity be the start of our good relationship.

儿童照看经验

Im the only one in my family who was able to go and finish college, even in the middle of a pandemic. This and being the oldest who took care of my 4 other siblings has given me so much experience in life that has contributed to who i am today- responsible, hardworking, patient, and trustworthy.

I do chores and is great with children. With my current family, i am responsible in waking the children up, and prepare them to school. After bringing them to school, i do the laundry, wash the dishes, vacuum, and keep the family's house in order before i pick them up again. During the weekends even if i am expected to take my day off, when i have nowhere to go, i still make sure i help around in any way possible.

Being an au pair abroad is a dream. It allows me to explore places ive only seen online or read in books. It gives me the opportunity to meet people and explore the culture. More than anything else, it helps my family back in the Philippines. As whatever i earn, may it be monetary or experience, i make sure i share with them too.
