Is your family open to having an older "granny" nanny? My own plans to teach English abroad are on hold, and I would love to spend time - again - with a lovely family who needs that extra person. Though I am experienced with children of all ages, I am particularly looking at families with school-aged kids, as I am educated and have done private tutoring in the past (maths, English, foreign language), so I can help with homework and being a positive female presence.

I'm musically-inclined -- I swim/love being in water, still ride a bike, but I don't run anymore because of a stiff knee. I'm also a safe & experienced driver.

I'm one of those natural homemakers - quite organized with respect to both people's schedules and things - so I easily take on some day-to-day tasks, such as tidying up, laundry, good cooking, grocery shopping, etc. I agree that it's important for kids to pick up after themselves and have responsibilities, and I support _all_ kids to be self-responsible in an age-appropriate way.
