Hello!

My name is Caleb, and I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in Biology in May of 2023. Currently, I am working in Madrid, Spain as an English teacher! I am 23 years old and the oldest of four children. My brothers are now 20 and 16, and my little sister, the princess of the family, is only 11! Growing up, I was always responsible for taking care of my siblings while my parents were at work or out of the house, giving me excellent childcare experience. As I grew older, my parents' friends would often ask me to help out with their childcare, which I happily accepted. Now, I have the privilege to work as an English teacher in a secondary school, with students aged 11-18. Being able to share my language and culture with students have been extremely rewarding, and I hope to continue to do the same in a new environment as an Au Pair before eventually pursuing a nursing career.

After hosting a student from Lithuanian exchange student during my final year of high school, I became very interested in becoming an Au Pair. This became more apparent after being an exchange student in Spain for four months. I would love to make a strong connection with another family while providing childcare, a cultural and language, and forming meaning relationships while in Germany. I have already started learning German (at around the A1 level) and look forward to continue developing my skills.

I make an excellent candidate as an Au Pair because I have ample experience working with children, especially in childcare and education. I can use my experience in both of these fields to not only help take care of your little ones, but also be a personal learning aide to help them grow their English skills and interest and help them learn about the world around them. Furthermore, I am CPR and First Aid certified after working in a Neurosciences ICU for 3 years as a Nursing Assistant!
