Dear Future Host Family,

I hope you are safe and healthy.

My name is Génesis, but you can call me Gene. I was born in Esmeraldas City, and I am currently living in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, Ecuador. I live with my parents, Edwin, who is 50 years old and works as a wood merchant, and Elizabeth, who is 42 and works as a chef. My 22-year-old sister, Vanessa, who recently signed up to be a traffic officer, Wendy, who is 19 years old and is a food processing student and my little dog, Zeus.

My family is very excited about my decision to become an au pair and very proud of my courage to leave my comfort zone and have new experiences in the United States of America.

I am studying to become an English teacher, and I’m also currently working in a kindergarten, so I am surrounded by kids from Monday through Friday.



I consider myself as a respectful, easygoing, honest, emphatic, organized and patient person. I would also like to develop my skills as an open minded person in the US while getting to know a whole new world.

I would like to live in the United States of America because it is a great opportunity to develop my skills as a future English teacher. I really think that will be my contribution to society. I want to make beautiful memories while I take care of your children. I am excited to meet new places, people, and cultures.
