Hello! My name is Juliana, and I am 23 years old. Currently, I live in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, with my grandparents and younger brother.

When my brother and I were younger, I used to help him with his homework using a little blackboard as if it was some kind of teaching environment. I always enjoyed it and wondered how amazing it would be to be a teacher.

Some years after I graduated from High School, I considered my passion for languages, travel and culture and my interest in teaching and I pursued a degree in Languages (Portuguese and English), which also included teacher training. When I was still in college, I participated in a social educational project in which I had the opportunity to teach English online as an intern/volunteer. It was a great experience due to the chance of helping others and doing something for a greater good.

After I graduated from college, I got two international certificates: TOEIC, in which I scored 945 out of 990, and IELTS, in which I scored 7.5 out of 9.0. Moreover, I worked as an English teacher at a language school in which I was a former student. I taught different groups of students of different ages, including kids, teenagers and adults. I was responsible for preparing and giving classes, carrying out extra activities and developing personalized feedback and learning strategies according to students' needs.

Currently, I am pursuing a very important dream I have always had since a child, that is, living abroad. Over the past few years, I have searched for opportunities to make my dream come true, and this chance of becoming an Au Pair and/or a Live-in Tutor seems the perfect opportunity to achieve that.

My first experience with children was at home. When I was younger, I used to take care of my brother and help him with his homework. Some years later, I had the opportunity to help my stepsister take care of her baby when she went out. Lastly, while working as an English teacher, I taught some groups of kids and teenagers.

I believe I have had a meaningful experience with kids and teenagers both informally and formally. Besides that, I find fulfillment in helping and teaching others and I am willing to try my best and learn more and more. Last but not the least, I am pursuing a dream that is very important to me, so, if given this opportunity, I will make sure to work hard and enjoy the chance.
