Dear future Host Family,

First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Laura and I am a nursery school teacher in Germany. I am 21 years old and live together with my Mom and my younger sister near Trier in Germany, which is the oldest city in my country. I love being creative, traveling and trying out new things even if I might feel overwhelmed by it at first.

By next year I will have my completed degree as a state-approved educator with a bachelor’s degree in social work. That’s why I want to take a gap year after graduating and see new things before I start working. Being an Au-pair would be just perfect for that because I can visit a new country, make new experience’s and still
do what I love doing, which is working with children.
I have worked in many daycare places and an elementary school and I have always been a hard working person and heard nothing but positive Feedback for my work from my coworkers and the kids.
I would describe myself as a reliable, hard working, organized and caring person, who tries to always see things in a positive way. I like spending time with my friends and family, as they are really important to me.

I have been working with children since four years now and I do really love my job. Children are just a bundle of joy and I just love their playfulness, truthfulness and lovely personalities. I have an extensive childcare, as well as an educational experience with countless hours of experience through working at a daycare with children from age 2 to 6 and an elementary school with children in first, second and third grade. I cherish spending time with children, as they remind me of my own childhood, so I just want them to have fun and their experiences to be positive and memorable.
I also have experience in preparing meals, light housework and running errands. I also enjoy taking care of pets.
I'd love to be with a family, who will take me as a part of their family and I'd love to have a friendly and thoughtful relationship with them where we can treat each other with respect.
