A warm greeting from me to you. My name is Selin, I'm 22 years old and from Turkiye. It's my third year in university, but I have decided to take a break this year. I'm majoring in French language teaching, if you ask why I want to take a break, my answer is simple. I want to expand my perspective, see and learn on action about different cultures, do something other than studying and do something on my own.
That's why I want to become an Au Pair & Nanny. This experience will be good for my future since my job is all about kids.
You might think that I'm too young to take care of kids but I have a lot of education and experience in this. As I mentioned, I'm majoring to be a teacher so I took a lot of classes about child psychology, behavior and education. I'm also educated in language teaching, I am fluent in English and Turkish, a good level of French too. I can teach the kids these languages, if one of them is your native language and you don't want me to use it that's completely fine as well.
I have one sister, and I basically raised her. She is 15 now and going to high school. We share a lot of things in life, being her big sister was the best thing that ever happened to me.
Besides her, I have also another sister. She is not biological but I raised her too. When she was 6 months old, her mother started working so she let us (me and my mother, my mom is also a nanny.) take care of her. She is now 5 years old and started school but is still with us every day. So I have experience of taking care of kids.
Because of my education, love for kids and experiences I'm the perfect fit for this opportunity.
