Hello! My name is Allie, I'm from the US and lived in Boston the past 7 years up until February when my husband and I made the move to Münster, Germany for his work!

The last 4 years in Boston I was teaching Grade 8 Science, but prior to that while I was in grad school I worked a wide variety of jobs all within education and childcare. During summers and school vacations I was out in nature, teaching kids ages 6-14 at a Nature Center about the environment and leading the Junior Leadership program. During the school years I substitute taught during the day and nannied families after school - a German & French family with 2 kids, 8 & 10, and a French family with 2 kids, 9 & 11. I also ran private tutoring lessons in Math and Science for a 5th and 8th grader.

During my free time you can find me pursuing my hobbies in craftwork, such as knitting, crocheting, embroidering, sewing, and macrame - I even run a small business selling crafts through Etsy and have taken part in a craft fair! I also love to cook and bake, try new restaurants, get out into nature on hikes or camping, and now explore my new city via bike!

Throughout my experiences, I've gained valuable expertise in nurturing children both inside and out of the traditional classroom setting. I love exploring nature with them, playing board games, making some tasty treats, or helping them with school work.

While I'm taking a brief break from traditional classroom teaching to explore new avenues within education, I dearly miss the energy and excitement that comes from working directly with kids. I'm currently looking for families seeking a warm and reliable nanny for daytime care, before/after school support, or those cherished date nights. Housing is not necessary as my husband and I have already secured our own residence.

I'm super excited to dive into this new adventure and lend a helping hand to families in need of some extra love and care!
