Kamaria (24), francés/a, Estudiante actualmente en Francia quiere ser Au Pair en Suiza

Kamaria, I’m 23 years old and I come from Mayotte. It is the last French colony. It is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean located between Madagascar and the coast of Mozambique.

I arrived in France in September 2020, as a student for my higher education.
I graduated with a BTS Assistant Manager. After my two years of this training (BTS), it was there that I realized that this was not the path in which I wanted to continue.

In France, I was studying English literature, I was in the first year of a bachelor's degree. Honestly, I liked studying this training, but unfortunately I couldn't finish my year because I had a lot of difficulty in English. And in this license, you must have a good level in English in order to be able to follow and understand the courses.

So I decided to talk to my superiors at the University about it. They talked to me about doing a sabbatical year, in order to prepare a project to go to an English-speaking country and learn English. (The gap year is a period during which the student suspends his higher education in order to devote himself to a professional or personal project).

So, I went to England as an Au Pair. I enjoyed taking care of three children. The eldest of 8 years old, and two little boys of 5 and 3 years old. I stayed with this family for 6 months. I love children, I take great pleasure in learning and sharing things with children as well as with the family.

After my experience as an Au Pair in England, I moved to Canada to an international private school in Toronto, where I studied English for a period of 6 months.

Honnêtement, j'ai aimé étudier cette formation, mais malheureusement je n'ai pas pu terminer mon année car j'avais beaucoup de difficulté en anglais. Et dans cette licence, vous devez avoir un bon niveau en anglais afin de pouvoir suivre et comprendre les cours.

J'ai donc décidé d'en parler à mes supérieurs à l'Université. Ils m'ont parlé de faire une année sabbatique, afin de préparer un projet pour partir dans un pays anglophone et apprendre l'anglais. (L'année de césure est une période pendant laquelle l'étudiant suspend ses études supérieures afin de se consacrer à un projet professionnel ou personnel).

Ainsi, je suis allée en Angleterre comme une Fille au pair. J'ai aimé m'occuper de trois enfants. L'aîné de 8 ans, et deux petits garçons de 5 et 3 ans. Je suis resté avec cette famille pendant 6 mois. J'adore les enfants, je prends beaucoup de plaisir à apprendre et partager des choses avec les enfants ainsi qu'avec la famille.

Après mon expérience en tant qu'Au Pair en Angleterre, j'ai déménagé au Canada dans une école privée internationale à Toronto, où j'ai étudié l'anglais pendant une période de 6 mois.
