Dear host family,
My name is Jackie and am 30 years old, a graduate from Makerere university with a bachelors in industrial fineart and design. Am an open minded lady who is always eager to learn something new like languages and cultures and I love volunteering.
Am hard working, humble, reliable, kind, patient ,responsible and I always strive to exceed expectations . My love for children inspires me be better and ensure that they are comfortable and happy around me always. Me and my friends have always arranged in our free time and special moments like birthdays to visit child care centers and share with them the little things we can afford to bring and spend time playing, painting, dancing, singing and listening to their little stories.

I would love to be part of your family and learn your culture as I teach you mine too which would be avery interesting experience I believe. Am excited to become your Au pair and care for your children and help the family whichever way I can.

My experience with children is that am a first born of a deceased mother of six children ( two girls and four boys, i.e thirty, twenty seven, twenty four, seventeen, fifteen and Eleven years and my twenty four years brother - being special needs) who I have lived with and supported and cared for the past nine years since our mom passed away. My dad remarried and lives with his new wife and children and hardly supports or checks on us. I have been lucky to be supported by my dad’s cousin through school till I graduated at the university. I feel much obligated to take care of my syblings and at least give them the basic needs of life. ( education, food, clothing, medical care etc ).
Raising my syblings has been and still is agreat journey but very dynamic too.
I thank God for he has taken me through it all and given me strength, courage and patience to keep pushing on, it could not have been easy at all.
I always reminded myself that these kids don’t need just a sister but “ big sister or a mother “ and so I have been. I don’t regret doing it and will do it again and again without thinking twice.

I like to paint, draw, play table tennis and chess in my free time, learn different languages and cultures because i believe nothing good comes from staying in confort zones.
I have had a chance to live in India for six months, very different climate, culture and food from what I was used to back home so staying away from home for a while will not be a challenge for me.
