Hello!
My name is Mathilda and I am currently looking for jobs as an Au Pair starting after the summer of 2024. I live in Zurich, Switzerland but my parents are German and English, meaning I grew up bilingually. This spring I will finish high school with an Advanced Placement Diploma and will be taking a gap year. After my gap year, I am planning to study Psychology and Education at the University of Zurich. In my free time, I dance and take care of children in a local scouts group weekly.
In my gap year, I always knew I wanted to do some travelling and potentially live in a place for a few months. Becoming an Au Pair would enable me to gather new experiences whilst expanding my interest for children and establish new personal connections to a family. Working with children has always come easily to me as I have gathered more experience on how to keep children busy and entertained in my experience in the scouts. By becoming an Au Pair, it would allow me to expand my knowledge, skills and interest for children by spending most of the hours of my day with them.
Having had the opportunity to work with children in various capacities, including tutoring, babysitting, and volunteering, I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of providing a supportive and enriching environment for their growth and development. My bilingual upbringing in English and German as well as my intermediate level of French speaking makes it possible for me to speak to your child in multiple languages, enabling them to advance their language skills. I am a dedicated and hardworking individual and would be able to keep the kids busy for many hours. I am able to recognize where jobs needed to be completed such as chores around the house as well as for the kids in their daily routine. As an Au Pair, I am eager to not only support your family with childcare responsibilities but also to immerse myself in your culture and contribute to the overall household dynamics.
