Dear future host family,

My name is Carla, I am 29 years old and I am originally from a town on the Costa Brava, Catalonia (Spain). Currently, I am living in Valencia (Spain), where I have been studying International Trade for the last two years. I have also been living abroad for a couple of years, both in Krakow (Poland) and Prague (Czech Republic), so I am familiar with international environments. As for my previous education, I also studied Jewellery in Barcelona.

Since I was a child, I have always been a very active person, which led me to practice different sports like skating, swimming, basketball, dance, skiing or sailing, as well as drawing and sculpture. What is more, one of my favorite activities was attending scouting camps with my sister, where we enjoyed playing with other kids and being in direct contact with nature. There, I learnt lots of survival techniques in the forest and it also brought us important values like respect for nature, teamwork, basic first aid knowledge, etc. which later helped me in my day-to-day life, even as an adult.

I enjoyed those days so much that I became a scouting instructor myself later on, having worked in summer camps where I dealt with kids of all ages (from 4 to 14). If I could describe myself, I would start by saying that I am a curious, dynamic and joyful person, with a constant willingness to travel and learn new things.

Due to my really positive experience working with children, I have decided to go abroad to improve my language skills (preferably English) and enhance my life experience in general.
