I fell in love with children when I had my first granddaughter, and then I fell in love for the second time when her baby sister was born. So I started babysitting until my first year of university, for 2 years, then I started doing math and science tutoring. I believe that children give things that people as they grow up find it difficult to maintain: sincerity, unconditional affection, and sunshine!

I am a native speaker of Italian; I think my language is very fascinating but I know that it is not enough because it is not very widespread. My English level is B2, but I absolutely want to improve it and speak fluently (I think it's very important nowadays). My Spanish is also B2.

I think becoming an au-pair is an indelible experience for both the host family and the host girl; coming into contact with a family with different origins is both a cultural and an emotional gift. I think it's a good way to feel useful, productive, and energized! The children find an older sister, the family a person they can rely on and the au pair a second family from which to feel welcomed in a different world from the one they came from!

I expect a family like mine: respectful, loving and understanding. I would like to create a much more than working relationship with the family, feel welcomed and understood if I have problems with the language or the new culture (especially in the early days).
