My name is Eden and I am 20 years old and living on the Gold Coast in Queensland. I’m currently studying an Education degree but for a while I’ve just had the feeling that I need to do more and I need to do it sooner. I’ve been working with kids my whole adult life and I absolutely love it and really want to let that passion take me all over the world, whether that’s 20 minutes from where I grew up or on the other side of the globe. I’m great with children and find it easy to connect with them and foster relationships that rely on fun and respect, you should host me because I will do everything in my power to make sure your children feel like they have a friend and a carer that understands both your needs and theirs. While I’ve never worked as an Au Pair or Nanny before I’ve worked as a tutor and as a senior Kids Club Member at Australia’s best family resort, Paradise Resort. In these roles I’ve worked with children from the ages of 2 weeks old to 12 weeks old, but my experiences with tutoring and my degree have seen me work with teenagers ages 13-18. My role at Kids Club requires me to look after children from all walks of life which definitely provides a very well rounded understanding of what it means to work with kids. A large part of my role is just making sure they have as much fun as possible during the time frame they are with us but the other part and the more important part of my job, is making sure the children under my are understood by me and my staff so that we can make sure that when someone needs us we can be who they need us to be. I also work a lot with kids with additional needs and plan to specialise in that area of education when I finish my degree.
