Dear Host Family, I hope you are well!

My name is Maddie. I am 24 years old and currently reside in Melbourne Victoria. I am writing to express my sincere interest in becoming a part of your family as your au pair. I am a responsible and enthusiastic individual who is very passionate about childcare!

I have prior experience working with children as an out of school hours care(OSHC) director (childcare for children ages 5-12) for almost 2 years now and another year working as a second in charge/educator. Here I have been responsible for creating an educational program based off the ACEQUA regulations and meeting the My Time Our Place learning frameworks to ensure a quality program that caters to the needs of all children. I do this by assessing the children's current interests and developmental stages to create learning experience to further their knowledge and skills to provide a fun continuous learning environment.

In addition to working full time with children I also babysit on the weekends or when I'm not working, having regular families that I care for creating consistency and wonderful relationships with both the families and the children.

I am currently studying my Bachelors of Psychology with my long term goal being to specialise in children's psychology particularly working with children with additional needs which is a strong passion of mine, in addition to this I am also in the process of completing my diploma in school age education and care.

I would describe me as a reliable, friendly, positive and open-minded individual, I am interested in Au Pair so that I can continue to learn and grow with your family learning new skills but most importantly about different cultures, countries and people!

I currently live with my best friend and my two alaskan malamutes who I absolutely adore so if you have pets they will be no problem at all especially big dogs! We spend lots of time on the weekend taking them on walks and adventures to meet their active lifestyle.
