Hello! My name is Miyu (pronounced like me-you), a 21-year-old woman born in Toronto, Canada, and raised in Toronto, Canada, New York, USA, and Tokyo, Japan. Currently, I am completing a Bachelor's degree in Science with a specialization in Biology and a minor in Psychology at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. During my academic journey, I was honored with a $9000 grant to conduct neuroscience-based research for 12 weeks. This invaluable opportunity allowed me to delve into projects focused on non-pharmacological interventions for neurodegenerative diseases, providing care for the elderly, and conducting extensive research that honed my patience, time management skills, attentiveness to small details, and love for research. A memorable experience from this research opportunity includes attending a renowned Alzheimer’s conference in Amsterdam, followed by a beautiful journey through France, Belgium, and Italy with my brother!
