My name is Sierra I currently live in Alberta Canada and, I’m a recent high school graduate currently taking a gap year to explore new experiences and learn more about myself before starting college. One of my biggest dreams has always been to travel the world and immerse myself in different cultures—not just as a tourist, but by living like a local. That’s why the opportunity to become an au pair is so exciting to me.

I’ve always loved working with children and feel I connect with them naturally. I have experience caring for kids of all ages and truly enjoy being part of their everyday lives—playing with them, helping them learn, and supporting them in their routines. I’ve often been told that I’m easygoing, responsible, and someone people feel comfortable around. I’m also great with animals, having grown up with pets, and I understand the care and attention they need.

One of the things I love most about this kind of cultural exchange is the chance to experience the little things that make each place unique—the everyday routines, local customs, and quiet moments that you don’t usually see as a tourist. I find beauty in the small details and enjoy taking part in family life.

I don’t drink or smoke, and I’m naturally more quiet and respectful in other people’s homes. I also enjoy cleaning and organizing—it helps me feel relaxed, and I take satisfaction in creating a tidy space.
