Dear Host Family,

My name is Katherine and I’m so excited to begin this journey as an Au Pair and Live-in Tutor! I’m 24 years old and originally from the United States. Over the years, I’ve developed a true passion for working with children and helping them grow not only academically, but emotionally and socially as well. With a background in education, childcare, and language learning, I’ve spent much of my life working closely with children. From early experiences babysitting for neighbors and family friends to more formal childcare roles, I’ve always found joy in supporting children as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them!

My desire to become an Au Pair and Live-in Tutor comes from my love for cultural exchange, teaching, and meaningful human connection. I believe there is something incredibly special about living with a family—sharing meals, routines, stories—being immersed in a new culture while having a meaningful, positive impact on someone’s everyday life. I genuinely see this experience as a chance to build lasting connections, not just a job; but a cultural and personal exchange that I hope will leave us all with wonderful memories and lasting connections.

I’m confident that I would be a great addition to your family. You can count on me to bring kindness, creativity, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility into your home. I’ve worked with kids in both formal and informal settings—teaching English as a second language, helping with homework, and planning fun, educational activities. I strive to make learning engaging and tailored to each child’s needs, whether that’s reading aloud together, playing language games, or simply having meaningful conversations throughout the day. I’ve also worked with children of different ages and personalities and have always found joy in adapting to their unique needs! Most importantly, I value simply being present as a caring and consistent figure in your child’s life. My background has taught me how important it is to listen, be attentive, and create a safe and supportive space where kids can feel both curious and confident.

What sets me apart is not only my experience, but also the care and dedication I bring to every interaction. I take pride in being responsible, kind, and communicative. I’m always ready to step in and support your family in whatever way is needed. I have a genuine love for working with children and a strong commitment to becoming a trusted, reliable part of your daily routine. I’m adaptable, respectful of family values and household dynamics, and eager to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully throughout this experience.
